Hello everyone first of all thank you for signing up to get a look at the Documentary.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the making of this Documentary. Please keep in mind this is not a “Movie” movie, its a Documentary, when people think of anything like a movie, they start to expect some Netflix level stuff, which this isnt. I had close to no budget, and a very tight schedule (was on a leave during this trip from my last job).
Managing the trip, riding on an average 300-400 kms every day, schedule and actually take the interviews, find a place to stay and then Pratik (cinematographer) and I used to sit and make a back of the files that we recorded during the day and keep all our equipment to charge, the go pro, 2 dslr cameras, 2 microphone, and 1 light. Doing this everyday continuously was not easy, I had eaten into all the savings that I had supporting our expenses during the trip, physically and emotionally it was draining for us. But never did I realise that documentary making would actually start once the shoot is over! and Bam! we had the pandemic.
Pratik, after the first wave, got me in touch with a few people, to whom I am forever grateful, we then had a really small team to work on the documentary. I didn’t wanted to be a part of the editing team (def not the first 2 drafts) cause I didn’t want my bias to affect the Documentary.
There were a few interviews in the entire shooting phase that we had to cut loose totally - purely because there was too much background noise, re-shooting would have been challenging. So If i ever get a chance to make something like again with some actually GOOD BUDGET, we can have some kickass production done for our Indian Coffee Space.
